1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CompliScan ("the Service"), operated at compliscan.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CompliScan is an automated e-commerce compliance scanning tool. The Service analyzes product listings for potential violations against regulatory frameworks including California Proposition 65, EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), CPSIA, FDA labeling requirements, UK Product Safety regulations, and Health Canada requirements.

3. Not Legal Advice

CompliScan is a scanning and informational tool only. The Service does not constitute legal advice, regulatory guidance, or professional compliance consulting. Scan results are generated using rule-based analysis and may not capture every applicable regulation or requirement.

You should consult a qualified compliance professional or legal counsel before making decisions based on CompliScan results. We do not guarantee that products identified as compliant will satisfy all regulatory requirements, nor that all violations will be detected.

4. Accounts and Authentication

Account creation requires Google OAuth sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

• CompliScan offers Free, Pro ($29/month), and Business ($79/month) subscription tiers.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through PayPal.
• You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
• Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
• Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@compliscan.app for refund requests.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to scan stores you do not own or have authorization to scan
• Attempt to circumvent scan limits, rate limits, or feature restrictions
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying compliance rules or algorithms
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Resell or redistribute scan results commercially without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its compliance rules, scoring algorithms, user interface, and content, is the intellectual property of CompliScan. Your scan results are yours, but the underlying system is ours.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompliScan and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to fines, penalties, product recalls, or lost revenue arising from reliance on scan results.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that scan results will be accurate, complete, or current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using CompliScan, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Scan history may be retained or deleted at our discretion.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page.
